The Lynx picked a clear sunny day to fly North to Fairbanks Thursday morning and were greeted with a chilly minus 9 at the airport. The Lynx then met a very hot Lathrop goalie in Ian Morey who turned aside 11 shots in the first period while Lynx goalie Darrin Hammingh faced only three. Lathrop forward Chad Horn scored the only goal of the period from a bad angle at 10:48. The Lynx started the second period with a goal just 10 seconds in when Senior Tyler Garcia scored assisted by Kenny Hausinger and Greg Pfeifer. This early goal sparked the offense and Kenny Hausinger went on a personal mission scoring three goals in just over a minute for a 4-1 Lynx lead. Drake Glover scored late in the second period for a 5-1 lead after two periods. The third period was more Lynx as Lane Bauer, Solomon Mabry and Dawson Glover all scored for an 8-1 final. The Lynx out shot Lathrop 30-9 for the game.
